1995 5.7 g20 chevy van

Need help please can someone please tell me if i can use a 92 g20 throttle body to replace my 95 throttle body repair shop is telling me thats my problem ive already spent about 1700.00 this time n the actual throttle body still not fixed they say i have to find the part because they arent made anymore. I found a used 92 for 250.00 the 95 is like 390 this van is costing me an arm n leg but i use it as a wheelchair van for a 100 disabled vietnam vet i care for. Im trying to keep cost under 2000 ive already spent a grip getting it to be a decent wheelchair van. Any help is appreciated...tia.

Pretty much any 1990s 5.7 throttle body should work. The unit itself has a wide interchange, but different size engines use different flow rate injectors. You can rebuild these units the same as a carburetor, in fact they're less complicated than one.
I looked on Rock Auto out of curiosity and they have remanufactured TBI for the 1995 for $272.89 plus $75 core. Their brand Autoline shows 1995 as one year only. I don't know why, I have had a 95 unit side by side with a 91 and there is no obvious differences between them.
I would think if you have a self-service type salvage yard nearby you could get a used one for much less, under $50, just pick a Chevy or GMC with the same engine that's marked R/D somewhere on the body.
