Default 1997 Chevy 1500 Cowboy Conversion Van

I know that sounds silly, but the folder was in there by that company who did the conversion. Has the 5.7 engine with 4L60E transmission. I got this recently and am looking for parts. Question is..... what other vehicles could I get parts from at the wrecking yards? Will a driver side window from an Astro or Safari work? What about the door panel? It's a really nice van and has only 132K miles and that's low for a 97. Please let me know.

Thank You.

What is is based on? Is it a 97 chev express? Must be to have the 5.7. If so, then no, no safari parts will work.

Default van parts

I’d look at 1500,2500, 3500 models for parts. Many are the same, not only for those models, butfor a several year period.
My 97 van with 98,000 miles is a 1500 Express van and also has the 5.7 engine with a conversion package by Skyliner. The conversion package only changed the roof and the interior behind the driver seat to the rear door.
