We bought a 98 chevy express 1500. Wasn't running. "Needed fuel pump"...replaced the pump, no luck. Replaced the fuel pump relay, fired right up. Drove fine etc. Got real cold out and the starter froze up (one hard click when you crank) after it warmed up outside, went to start it and it cranks but won't fire. Fuel pump barely primes now (one second very short and weak prime)
Replaced the relay again, no luck this time. But it is getting power briefly at least cuz it does prime
Checked voltage at the pump. It's getting 7.6ish at prime for about half a second.
We also found the horn relay all melted so we took out the fuse box. All the wires around pump relay look fine. We think most of the ice on the wires are from working on it in the rain. Hoping you guys can help us figure this out and get her on the road.
