Hello everyone,
I just received a 2004 express 2500 (4.8l) that needs a new engine. Any recommendations of where to get a good replacement, and any issues I might run into?

My dad and I will be putting it in, he’s done a couple engine swaps in these vans. Usually he would just buy something from a local junkyard and make it work. This would cause some reliability issues and now we are thinking of buying from online but don’t know where to look. There’s so many options online.
