2005 4.8 oil light on
Been watching for other vans for sale and ran across a 2005 work van with fairly low miles (75,000 or so) that seems to have no real issues except they note the oil light is on. One photo in the listing shows it's running with 45 PSI or so on the gauge but the light on.
I read up on it and the most common causes on a 4.8 are the internal filter below the gauge clogged up or some of them the oil pan gasket O-rings can be bad, or absolute worst case the oil pump has some issues. Because it's a van, I would expect access to the filter that clogs isn't bad.
My question is what would have the light on even when cold and it's showing good pressure on the gauge?

if it is the orange oil light it just needs to be reset.........turn the car to run and push the gas to the floor 3 times fast.....that will reset the oil light.....it is an oil change reminder light
