No Just showing the facts. If you do not believe what these different sites show then I do not know what you are trying to prove. They DID make a 6.0 with a cabled throttle body up until 2006.

Express van's started getting the Vortec Gen 3 family of engines in 2003, and stayed with CABLE throttle through 2006. https://www.lt1swap.com/identify_vortec_engine.htm

I think I am done as proving if it has a cable or not is immaterial. I have one and it works fine. Just want to know the official information on how to reset the computer to learn the idle settings. I think I will tweak the idle set screw that is under the throttle butterfly stop. At least that will keep it at the right RPMs.

Here is the procedure for 5.7L from 2002 with cable actuated throttle.
IAC Valve Reset Procedure
- Turn ON the ignition for 20 seconds.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
- Start the engine.
- Check for the proper idle speed.

Tried that, does not work. Also tried the 2 seconds and then 10 seconds routine and not working. Others say to just drive it and it will learn. Too many relearn processes. Will just clean the MAP and adjust the idle stop set screw...old school. Hate all these cars with computers. Give me an old 56 Chevy like I had and it was simple.

Simple but you had constantly fuss with it. Even just to get it started on a cold morning.
If you hooked the thing up to a good diagnostic computer, you might have had this problem licked by now.
Like I said at the beginning, I don't think your problem has anything to do with relearning. It's going to be something simple and mechanical, and you need to do some old school troubleshooting.

OP is your van a customized chevy express 3500 modified by Roadtrek of Canada? ( roadtrek models P170, P or V 190, P210 ? ) with a 6.0 v8 Vortec? or another Canadian rv manufacturer who used a truck body express 3500 with a 4.8L engine ? just curious. . . (there is a roadtrek io internet group that has a lot of technical info on those custom vans by roadtrek . )

cold idle speed versus hot idle
2005 chevy express 3500 6.0 engine with cable controlled TB. What is the idle supposed to be when you first start up with engine cold? Then what should it drop down to when warmed up? I think I remember it being about 1500 RPM and then dropping down to about 750 RPM. Is that correct? Can't seem to find any information about this.
