I’m struggling with an irregular fuel pump on my 2007 express van. Last discussion I see is 2 years old; so, I guess you guys are tired of discussing this reoccurring issue. I’ve read all the previous threads, from valuable info on diagnosis to rubber hammers and wiggled wires, and tried most of the suggestions. I’m currently exploring a suggestion I saw on Utube that covered tracking down and confirming a solid ground to the pump.
Currently the van is running; but, it’s left me stranded twice this week after years of good service.
I’ve bench tested the relay through dozens of cycles with no failures. The pump runs and the engine starts every time I try it with the relay bypassed. As I said, when I reassembled it all it started righ up; but, I’m gunshy now. Any additional suggestions concerning things I should check would be appreciated.

i had a problem with my pump and i ran a jumper wire to key hot then to the pump...that fixed my issue....now i just had to fix the power issue....found out when checking the pump i put the relay in 90 degrees off.....yes it fit... and would click but the power was not going to the pump......as for the box and canister those have to do with the evap system...the box ia a purge solenoid and the canister is the charcoal evap canister...
