So my 2007 Express (6.0 gas) rear end started clunking and banging yesterday, particularly violent when giving it any gas going around a corner.

Simple fix?

If not (and I assume not) what year rear-ends can I use? The internet seems to indicate 2003+, but that is because of the disc brakes.

Locally there is a 2001 Express box van that is very cheap. The problem it is has duels. Can I use the differential in my 2007 express?

Check the override leaf (the thick one at the bottom of the stack) to see if it still has it's rubber pads at each end.
