Default 2013 express rear diff posi?

I have recently purchased a 2013 chevy 2500 chevy express cargo van and would like to know if the standard rear differential is positraction unit. I asked the dealer and they really did not know. They kept telling me that is was not the upgraded locker unit, but never answered my question if the standard unit is posi or not.

Would not be posi. Its a one tire fire axle. The upgrade locker they referred to is the eaton g80 locking differential. Its great when it works, but has small ****ty component that cause it to fail...like mine. So now I too have a one tire fire axle.....lol

I believe the traction control does a decent job of making up for a non posi rear. If one side is spinning its going to brake that side so the power goes to the other.
