2015 Chevrolet Express 2500 Serpentine Belt Difficulty Getting On

] SOLVED SOLUTION [ 2015 Chevrolet Express 2500 Serpentine Belt Difficulty Getting On
While servicing the alternator, removing the serpentine belt was fine. The old Bosh alternator had failed. I replaced it with a Carquest alternator. Then when I tried to put the serpentine belt on nothing I can do will get this belt on. I marked the tensioner to see if it was pushed all the way to the driver side America and it hits its limits. This is usually an easy repair so not sure what is going on other than the part is not correct. Anyone one have ideas?
Next I will reinstall the old alternator and check fit. While out double check the dimensions are the same with the new one.

They say you should throw away a belt after it's been installed and removed

Yes. My 2013 5.3L uses stretch belts. There's no tensioner. Doesn't yours?

Is it the same belt that was on there before? If yes, then the alternator you got must have a bigger pulley.

] Solved Solution [
The alternator on this vehicle comes up as three possible alternators. After receiving the first two and struggling to place the belt over the second. I decided to double check the size. The second alternator was larger in height even with exact bolt placement fit.
I had photos to show but they have been loss in a my recent data loss.
I would suggest taking the alternator off and looking at the number on it along with the connector at the top. The first two alternators had different types of connectors at the top. Obviously one worked and the other did not and triple check the size.
The alternator on this vehicle had the following written on it using the same line brakes.
Bosh
105
Best of luck.

correct. you had the 105A alternator, and there's 140A one that bolts up as well.
