Hi everyone.
I have a 2016 Chevy G2500 van, and the louvers on the dashboard AC vents are broken, or won't close fully on a couple of vents. I found replacement parts and the new vents aren't very expensive.
My question is:
How do these vents come out, and go back in?
It looks like it should just pop out with a little pressure, but I am having a difficult time getting it out and don't want to break the mounting clip on the inside of the dash that it should snap into.
Suggestions?

They just pop right out. Just stick a flat head screwdriver under where they pivot and pop them out. You can pop them out from either side. They do have a top and bottom if you look at them. One side is larger than the other where they click together so they only install one way.
The dashboard side is pretty solid so if anything were to break it would be the vent but even that shouldn't break just popping it out.
