Default 3rd Oil Pressure Sensor in 6 Months...

Hello everybody...
I had to change the oil pressure sensor on my 5.3 VAN 3 times in six months. After a short time, the the oil pressure gauge rises again to 100%, which is known to indicate a ground error.
Everytime i change the Sensor, it is all good for a short time, then same again.
Where do i have to search for a reason why this occurs? Oil is changed everytime, the VAN wants it to.
I dont know where to search for her Problem....

Are you buying good quality sensors or the aftermarket ones? When you change the oil are you changing the filter also?

Agreed, try the dealer brand. Aftermarket parts sometimes don't agree.

Delphi is a top brand and just as good as Delco. Some of Delco's parts are made by Delphi.

I doubt the oil brand will have any effect on the sender unit. Unless you put say gear oil(75 w90) in your engine ?
The problem dont seems to be related to a particular sensor but to many ?
Ok so I doubt that you can buy 3 defect sensors in a row ?
One I would agree but 3 ?

So the problem lies somewhere else.... My first tought would be to check the ground connections between the engine and the rest of the body.
Have a multimeter ? Measure resistance ohm value beween the engine block next to the sensor(or better yet at the body of the sensor itself if mettalic) and the negative battery post.
Should read zero.

While there, inspect wire and connector to the sensor and make sure everything is tight and solid.

Is the check engine light on ?

Good luck

I agree to check ground 1st. Use a bright flashlight to see if you have the model with a screen in the block under the sensor. Some folk have had crud block these
