Default 6L90 Transmission fluid and filter

I did the fluid and filter on my 2015 yesterday. It wasn't that big of a deal if it wasn't for my shoulder hurting.

Supplies:
GM 24236517 filter
GM 24225347 filter seal
GM 24226850 gasket
ACDELCO 109243 Dexron VI, 7 quarts
GM 12471607 pan magnet

Manual said the exhaust needed to be dropped. It didn't look like it to me. I had to use a wrench to get the rear most 3 screws out but the pan came out just fine. Getting the filter seal out took some needle nose pliers to pinch/twist the metal shell and relieve the press fit so it would pull out. New seal I put some transmission assembly lube on and tapped it in with a 23mm deep impact socket. One of these days I'll buy myself a seal driver set. I cleaned the pan, magnet, and added the 2nd magnet. The one listed above is some random GM application but it came with adhesive backing which was convenient. The gasket could have been reused. If you replace it get a good one and don't replace it with junk. I "calibrated" my elbow with a bolt that was torqued with a torque wrench to get those back 3 with a 10mm combination wrench. Couldn't get a crowd foot or anything else on them. After putting it all back together I put 3 qts in the pan, started then shut it off, put in another qt, then backed it off the ramps and let it warm up. It took about 5.5qts, but I need to find a more level location and add a but more to be right at the top of the full line. I only bought 6 qts, but should have gotten 7 to have an unopened spare. I got everything from rockauto with a 5% off discount found online. Van has 55k miles. I should have done it sooner. There was a good bit of fine shavings on the magnet.
