Just bought an 82 G20 snd the top outer slider arm is broke. It appears to have been welded once before but the question has been asked on whether or not this piece is steel or some kind of casting. I've begun my search online looking for a replacement which I've struck out. Does anyone know what years would work on an 82? Most of the older 70s and early 80s cans are all but extinct in my area due to the rust belt. So my junk yards in the area are pretty much all newer stuff. Thanks for any info.

A good machinist could make one for you. Most junk yards can search parts from other junk yards all over. You could try that and also you can search other junk yards yourself online.
