I can't find a definitive answer about what bearings to buy. There are several kinds on the part sites.
Are the bearings pretty standard or do they vary from truck to truck? Seeing 8.5" and 9.5"- I'd like to get them in advance because I'll be doing this in the 11th hour and have a long road trip right after.
Just don't wanna pull it all apart and find i can't get the right ones or have to wait on an order. thanks.

 

You can go to the dealer with the vin number, and they can tell you the correct part number. You can also take out the old bearing and get the number off of it or you can take it to a parts store and match it.
