'93 Chevy G20 conversion van
Hello, just bought a 1993 Chevy g20 G20 Conversion Van 200k miles all original. Van sat for some time, upon driving it home everything was beautiful, but, i noticed that it was making a hard clutch fan type of "whooom" while driving (60-70° weather) and the temp would slightly creep up but then drop back down, on top of that it was a bit hard to get up high hills, just didnt have the get up it needed but still took me home just fine. Now i am familiar with 5.7l vortecs but not so much the carbed 350s, im guessing it might be carb issue overall, but i will also get fresh fuel, new fuel filter, check plugs and wires, air filters.....besides that what else do you guys think it could be?....possibly a weak fuel pump???....also as as far as the fan noise, im sure its a worn out fan clutch? Could that also cause loss of power? Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!!
