Exclamation 98 express brake light problem!

I need a wiring diagram for the tail lights on a 98 chevy 2500 van. I have checked the fuses, replaced the brake light switch (on the pedal), replaced the left side pigtail. The connector for the brake light switch had some corrosion on it so I took it apart and cleaned it up and realized that the light green wire is hot and when I touch the White wire to the light green one the brake lights come on. Any help would be great, Thank you!!

Does the power go from the battery to the fuse then to the brake light switch at the brake pedal then to the brake lights?

Default brake light problem

Not sure if this problem is related but I had problems with my express cargo van brake lights and the only fix was to replace the sockets and harnesses on both sides and replace ALL the bulbs.. Water rusted a bulb or two and the sockets wear out easily.

I had all kinds of strange things happen before I did this, Some lights went dim some went too bright, sometimes they responded sometimes not.
