Default AC Evaporator Box for 1980 Chevy G20

My AC evaporator had a leak and I had to replace it. Though, in order to remove it from the van, I ripped the plastic (or whatever the material is) that holds the AC evaporator in the box.

Does anyone know where I can get a new or used AC evaporator box for a 1980 Chevy G20 Van?

Is it possible to repair it, like with bondo or some material, could I have it reconstructed with 3D printing or something?

I performed a search on google and I found many AC boxes for 1980's era Chevy Trucks but nothing for 1980s Chevy G20

Google Search for AC Evaporator Box 1980 Chevy G20

Thanks

I would look up the interchange on the evaporator itself and whatever years it fits, the box cover from any G-van should be a direct interchange. You'll have to buy one from a salvage yard.

If you have all the pieces of the old one there's no reason you can't try to fix it. I would try some foil tape for ducts and run a bead of epoxy in the cracks.

You might research a fiberglass repair or patch kit if you can’t find one at a junk uard or ebay.

it’s messy but strong.

I would try and look at pictures before I ordered a part, too. While it's not likely they made many changes to the heat and AC system these vans did get periodic changes by GM, some that make sense, some that don't (why was the whole exhaust system mounting changed between 88 and 91?) . As a result there are a number of things that can be even just one year only parts.

Ok here is a picture of what is left of the AC Evaporator Box, could I reconstruct this with fiberglass bondo kit or something?
