Just got back from a trip down to AL and back in my '94 G20 with the 5.7L V8. Van ran great, no problems. We did notice one thing though - when the driver was on the gas (accelerating), the blower would stop. Well, to be precise, the blower fan seemed to be going, but the air flow out the vents nearly stopped.

I'm guessing it could be something with the vacuum lines and the vacuum actuated doors/valves on the HVAC system, but I've never ventured into those parts of the van. any tips/suggestions on where to start would be appreciated!

Check for a crack in the vacuumreservoir under the hood. Should be a black plastic ball

If it is cracked, I'll slap some RTV on the damage (if possible) and see if that cures the problem.

And I was wondering what the hell that death star under the hood was...
