Default Airbag Occupancy Sensor Bypass

As title implies, I want to bypass the occupancy sensor on my passenger airbag. 2006 Express 1500 AWD Passenger Van. I want to fool it into always being on. Has anyone done this successfully for this vehicle? I've found sensor emulators for 06 Silverados on Ebay, but I'm thinking they won't fit? thanks.

Why? Its not safe to have it on if a kid is sitting there. That is why the weight sensor is in there.

I do understand the concept behind the sensor. Don't worry we don't have kids and I can't even envision a scenario where kids would be riding in my van. I am trying to install a swivel seat (building a camper van) and I'd prefer to have the airbag always on than always off. Most people who do this seem to just disconnect the sensor, which leaves the airbag permanently disabled.

Default passenger airbag sensor

I too am looking for an alternative to replacing a $400 seat switch in my traverse. A very poor design in my opinion. It is too easily broke by a small mistake. I think an infrared sensor would be a much cheaper repair.

A cheap alternative to this $400 seat switch if it's just a work van take a drill with a long thin bit and drill ever so slow and easy right into where that sensor light on the dash is until the light pops
