Default Ambient Temp Sensor Location

I'm having trouble locating the outside temp sensor on my 2001 chevy express by explorer. I've pulled the grill off and looked under the front of the van with no luck. I don't see any sensors in front of the radiator or oil cooler. The dealer didn't have a picture or location of the sensor either. I've ordered a replacement which should be here soon, hopefully I'll be able to compare it to others. My mirror reads an oc code.

Default RE: Ambient Temp Sensor Location

sorry man, don't have a pic, nor have I ever tried to find one. Sounds like your on the right track though. The servic manual says "Behind the front grille, near the lower oil cooler mounting"

Maybe the sensor has been removed for some reason. Try looking for a light green 2 pin connector with a blk\wht and dk gren\wht wire in it
