Default any thoughts on steering wheel buttons and aftermarket radio?

so with some help on here i installed an aftermarket radio in my 05 1500 express cargo van.
my steering wheel did not look too good, so i just ordered a silverado leather wrapped wheel, and it comes with all the switches on it.
my question is, would any of them work with my radio?
is there even any wiring behind the wheel to connect once i remove my airbag/wheel?
has anyone done this?
thanks in advance

Some stereos have a connection for the wheel controls......check your manual.

are any of the g vans built with that option? If not, I can't see the clockspring being wired for it. Even if it was, you would still need an aftermarket kit to be able to connect the radio controls to the aftermarket radio.
