Anyone has an '08 Passenger??
I have tried to locate one to look at in person but so far no luck. From what I've read on the Chevy website, the new passenger van has side and curtain airbags and split last row bench. What I am trying to confirm (their website and dealer are fuzzy) is whether the curtain airbags are for all rows or just for the front seats; and whether the upgrade radio has AUX input.
So far Ebay only has the '08 cargo or conversion one for sale so no luck seeing the 'real' detailed pictures yet. Thanks

Thanks. Your response let me to dig deeper into their website and found the info on the airbags. Most sites have the safety pictures in the interior gallery section but not GM. Now as far as the split last row, I did find that it said on the 15-passenger version, the last row is split but makes no mention on whether the same is true on the 12-passenger (which is the one I am interested). Here is a pic of the airbags.
sidenote: It is curious why the airbags didn't go all the way to the rear of the van. It stops short about half-way only covering three rows (first row seems to mean the driver row from the picture). that leaves out the last row in the 12-passenger and the last two rows in the 15-passenger.

I got lucky and found a deep red '08 3500 6.0L just came in pre-ordered for someone else. I drove 20 miles just to see it. Let me say the interior looks much more modern than my '07. The ***** are all round rotary with a touch of chrome around it. The headlights have auto-on and the optional radio has AUX input. The gauge pod now has the information center (compass, tire pressure, engine status etc). This one has a sliding door and it makes the entry much much wider. The last row is SPLIT but not foldable. All seats now have shoulder belts. And there is curtain airbags all around. There is no change exterior except this one has a sliding door. The sticker price was 31k.
I am comtemplating to trade my '07 3500 6.0L for a new one but I have a feeling the trade-in will be low. Don't know if I should take a hit for the sake of safety (curtain airbags, shoulder belts etc) ... If something happens to my kids and the '08 could have prevented, I would be devastated .. but then money is the looming 'elephant in the room.'
What would you do if you are in my position?? Thanks

I got rid of my 2000 because it was a cargo van that didn't have windows and I didn't like the color.
I have a silver 06 3500 one with dark windows, sliding doors, chrome etc. I love it! Boy am I glad I switched out while my 2000 was still worth 4k.
Do the math and if you love it that much go for it.
Or if you plan on keeping your van a long time, then make sure to keep one you like. Because in 5 years it will be worth about 4k. After that about 2k.
Did they improve the gas mileage for the 08? Some of the trucks run on 4 cylinders on highway, which should be on the vans soon.
hope this helps, let us know what you decide!

Here is a link to Overstock.com. This is where I found mine then went to the dealership in my state. I suppose you could buy on out of state as well.
Im thinking if you wait a year for the 08 to drop down to 20k, you may save on the trade in.

Been a while since you posted this, but I will answer anyway. I had a 06 Express, and in
mid March 2008 traded it in for a almost new 08 with 3k miles. My 08 is a 12 passenger, and
curtain airbags cover all seats (15 passenger does not cover back row). Radio does have
AUX jack (plug my xm radio in). The 08 is so much nicer, pretty much has all the Suburban
electronics.
The last row seats are split, you can remove either half, or both. Been a nice upgrade,
very happy with it. There is no V8 or V4 mode. It is V8 all the time.
