Hi all.
I took my utility trailer to the dump a while back, and since hooking it up, my rear view mirror backup camera has been active all the time. Intermittently. With no trailer connected, as soon as I start the van, the camera comes on. I have not been driving the van much lately, so I don't know how often it fixes itself. I just replaced the battery, and started it up and the camera came on.

Have any of you had this issue?

Knowing nothing about the factory setup, I wonder if there's a setting that can change that.

 

Sounds like something the owner's manual should explain.

 

Nope. There is mention of being able to turn off the rear view camera if you have navigation, but not for non nav models.

This has never happened before, and has to be some sort of glitch.
I will check all my rear bulbs and fuses. It started when I connected that utility trailer, so there may have been a short in the trailer......
