Bed and camper van conversion
I just bought a 2003 Chevy express 3500 extended van. I want to make it into a camper van. I am 67 female and I think no build would be best. I am struggling to figure out a bed the floor and tie-downs. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows anyone in Tucson that could help me, I really need help. Nancy

Hi Nancy. There are quite a few tube videos staring the Chevy Express. There is a small outfit in Wickenburg that specializes in conversions.

Lots of good ideas that I'm following myself.

I was originally in a hurry with my cargo van (no rear seats) so I bought a used 'can also lay flat' sofa to sit on during the day and lay flat at night to sleep on. And also some plastic storage tubs, a cooler, and a Coleman propane stove. Several short storage tubs to slide under the 'futon' and two others about 12-15" deep. Temporary of course - but it was so comfortable in use that I never added to it at all.
