Default Brake light output power

Forum,
Is there a way to improve "intensity" of brake lights? I have tried with a number of different led bulbs, but neither of them make a lot of difference between "Low" beam and high beam. I was wondering if it has anything to do with something else than the bulb itself (maybe the fuse). The third light works great and with all lights off, the brake light turns on right on, the problem is when lights are on and I hit the brakes, almost no noticeable difference.

The brake lights should be brighter than the tail lights. Do you have the bulbs in backwards?

You can look at the filaments with both the park & brake light on to determine if you have it correct. LED doesn't really work in this application.

Is what I think its the issue, LED. Too bad as Im going to miss the "immediate" turn on and superb brightness.
