Can 4L80e trans code MJP be used in a van that has code MCP?

Can 4L80e trans code MJP be used in a van that has code MCP?
Hello I have a 4L80e trans with id code MJP. I would like to know if I can put this trans in a van that has code MCP. From what i've been told the mjp is for the longer wheelbase vans and the mcp is the standard wheelbase. Can the extension housing be swapped over to make this work or is more involved? Thanks
