The engine will never run properly without upstream O2

Yes I understand that, but I would assume it would start and spit and sputter cause of the O2. Being missing like I said pouring gas on filter it will run so what would you do next?

Put the O2 sensors back. You don't have to have the downstream one, but you will have a permanent malfunction light.

So you think the o2 sensor is causing a no start? I mean yes it controls the air and fuel mixture but it does not shut the fuel off

I know people running 5.7 with practically open headers straight pipe all the way back so I don’t believe o2 would cause a no start

You said it starts, then dies.

Fuel doesn't need to shut off to stall an engine. It needs proper mixture to run. If it's bad enough it misfires or stalls.

They still need upstream O2 sensors for fuel injection.
Either that, or they swapped to carburettors.

Also own a s10 with 4.3 and it also has no cats runs throws a code for them but starts and runs drove it for a year like that from junkyard that’s why I was saying I wouldn’t rely on the o2 causing a no start
