Default Convert 2008 Express 2500 to bench seat

We have a 2008 Chevy Express 2500 work van with the sliding door on the side and 2 front seats. We just hired a third person, and it would be really useful to add a bench seat so he doesn't have to drive a separate vehicle. Is there a model of vehicle that comes with bench seats? If so, I may be able to find some at a salvage yard. If not, is there any way to add one without a crazy amount of modification?

Can any of the bench seats from this van be put into the van we have?

Anything is possible, but it may require some work. The mounting systems changed over the years so I don't know what a 2008 will entail. But you will probably have to drill holes for the rails and bolt them down. Possibly adding reinforcement. The best thing to do is get your eyeballs on it to see what's involved.

Passenger vans have tracks in the floor that allow the seats to be moved around. Cargo vans don't have the tracks. My second 02 was a "short bus" and had an extra seat added that was just bolted through the floor mid-van. Probably the easiest option for yours would be to find a conversion van (any make) or even another similar Chevy and unbolt one seat from the floor, drill out your floor and bolt it into place.

Are you taking about a bench seat for the front row? In a van the engine is pushed so far back you would have no leg room. Put in a middle seat and it would go back from the other 2 a bit.
