Dies out when step on gas...when warm runs great..2000 Express 3500
My father could really use some help troubleshooting his express van, he has hours involved with this problem.. Thanks much
2000 chevy 1ton van express 3500

Dies out hesitates when step on it … usually after it sits for awhile…feather it to get it back…great on freeway when warm, but if you stop at a store its going to die out when you hit the gas..

<o>Here is what he has done so far based on some codes that came up when he checked for problems</o>
<o></o>
Throttle position sensor replaced
Crank case position sensor ckp replaced
Fuel pressure is 54 want 60-66 checked strainer, and fuel pump all looked good, he is not sure what may cause a 6lb low fuel pressure or if this could be related to the problem.
Brand new distributer added / sensor

Any thoughts or next steps are really really appreciated. He spent his birthday out working on his van.
Thanks
Paul

Welcome to the forum. Was the fuel pressure measured with key on, engine off? If the fuel pressure goes up as you cycle the ignition key off-on to prime the fuel system some more, the fuel pump is not doing too good. If not, maybe the fuel pressure regulator is not?
