A few years back I put on some Dodge Ram 2500 wheels. They are 17x8 and about 43mm or 42mm offset. The outside of the wheel is in about the same spot and the extra width is to the inboard side. I had to bend the parking brake cable out of the way, bend the ears on the front brake hose down, and relocate the wheel speed sensors. It rubs slightly on the sway bar at full left turn. Also the Dodge wheels had a larger inside hole so they weren't hub centric anymore. I just solved that with some Amazon bushings. They are 121.3mm outside (Dodge size) and 116.7mm inside (GM size). I slathered them with some anti-seize, put them over the wheel flange and bolted the wheels back on. No pictures but here's some of the wheels.
I've been thinking about getting some spacer adapters to push the wheels out a little bit. I put 3/4" spacers on my Grand Caravan and it improved the handling a lot with no noticeable tradeoffs.
LT265/70R17 Cooper AT3. Might look for something slightly narrower next time or just less sidewall tread to see if I can eliminate the rub to make u-turns less of a worry.
