I was just wondering if the '07 Express had the option of installing a dimming mirror with built-in compass and temperature display. I was cleaning the inside windshield glass and noticed that there is a cut-out between the headliner and the windscreen where a wire from the dimming mirror would perfectly fit. And if so, does anyone know if there is a harness upd there already in place for install?

Not sure if your van is pre-wired or not. I have seen some pick-ups that were pre-wired, but didn't have the temp sensor under the hood.

The wiring will be in place already. You'll have to put the thermometer in.

Thank you Shawn and EuroGold. So you, EuroGold, are saying that the harness is already in place by the headliner and all I have to do is plug in the dimming OEM mirror? If that is correct then great news! I hate going hunting for the it by the fuse box and then running the wirings to the headliner. Thanks

Got bad news for you, there is not a wiring loom behind the headliner. If you want a
dimming/compass mirror you will have to buy the kit, and run wires yourself. It is easy
to do, installed this mirror on a 06 and a 08.

You can buy the sensor and mirror at a junk yard but make sure you power up the vehicle to make sure it works before you pull it. You run the wire up the a-pillar and across to the mirror.
