Know on last trucks I had, the truck came with the module, but you had to buy the remotes and they had to program it. Does 2016 Chevy Express 3500 have the module ? If so what is the code to look for ?

"BTV" is the RPO for "Remote Vehicle Starter System" I don't know if the module is there if the code isn't.

 

Hi, the 2016 Owners Manual says it could. The RPO Code I found, but not guaranteed is AP3. Probably best to talk to a dealer parts department, maybe get your VIN decoded too while your there.

 

Don't see either code, guess module not in there, but will call the dealer to make sure .

Don't count it out yet. I have two other lists, that don't have either mine,or Twscarp's code on it. Keep hope alive!

 

Van with remote start would have a microswitch mounted on the hood latch. This is to prevent remote starting while someone could be working under hood. Check for wires there.

 

Checked with one dealer and told it doesn't have the module . Was also told GM won't provide the programming each of the vehicles need to even program it " not to their Dealers ". If it isn't enabled when vehicle is bought, tough.
Will look for switch however , it has a switch to turn on under hood light when hood goes up though.
