Default Engine swap questions

OK well I got my 2004 Chevy Express AWD 135 WB van and the moter is a knockin and she smokes quit a bit when I fire it up in the mornings, Question I have a 5.3 liter in it now! will a 5.7 or 6 liter bolt write up or do I have to stay year and size that it came with. I found a chevy 5.7 in a 2000 truck just dont know the interchange

Default Should be a direct fit

I am almost certain the Express and the PU share the same frame. In any event any GM V8 will pop right in. I have put engines in the G20 series before and the naysayers all said a 350 would not fit. Guess what, it bolted right up as if it belonged there. Different transmissions may change the length of the drive shaft. Your millage may vary

2004 Chevy Express ....., Question.... will a 5.7 or 6 liter bolt write up
I know that the original thread is a couple of weeks old, but in answer to the 6.0L bolt in, I don't see why not. My current 2004 Chevy Express 3500 has the 6.0L. Great engine thus far, no problems, 63K miles.
