New to this forum but have a 99 express 1500 new battery, starter, water pump, plugs/wires, fuel pump. I let it sit for a few days without cranking and now it want start. Starts slowly even with booster cables on.
No it doesn't turn the flywheel. It turns the alternator, water pump, etc. You can't run it for a long time after removing the belt if it does start. It would just put less drag on the starter. and might crank a little faster.
Ok all of you that are trying to help (thank you big time by the way!)I took the belt off and still want start. I’ve got plenty of volts/amps, the starter is sounding and acting strong. All and any suggestions are welcome
