I know it seems simple but so far I am unable to find exactly where to "glue" the Button Mount for my rear view mirror on my Exp 2500, 2012, I have the black sun shielding material in the center like most. Does the button go at the bottom on the sun black material on the shield or maybe under it on bare glass? Or does anyone know how many inches down from the Windshield top down I should put this? UGH crazy, seemed simple thing, is not LOL I checked dealer pics to see if I could tell...no luck.

On most vehicles I've owned I thought they were mounted too low and moved them up once they fell off. Maybe take a look at eBay listings? It seems button gets glued near the bottom of the black patch.

Thanks so much Triage. EBay was better than dealer sales pics by far. Here is on I found. Yea I can see why you would raise it. The Highway Safety stuff suggest just above eye level. Ok I want to crack a beer and see where it was, not set up a surveyors tripod in the cab. HAHAHA.... Years ago I had a Jeep Liberty and yea the mirror was so low I had to push the ball bracket all the way up so the mirror was just off the ceiling.. hehe

Copy and ZOOM in and you can see the Center view Mirror "Button" location. Just below the about half way of the center sun-shield sticker....
