Default express 3500 front passenger seat

Has anyone removed this and the box it sits on? I'm buying a 2008 and would like to remove it to put in dog crates. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for such a quick reply. I guess I should have clarified. I'm getting a Pleasure Way that is built on the Chevy Express - PW must put in the box that allows the seat to turn around. I thought it was a Chevy thing.

Do you know if I disconnect the electrical connectors (assuming PW hasn't done anything irregular under there), will it cause a problem with anything? I ask because I currently have a Honda Element and if you take out the passenger seat, ALL the airbags are disabled, not just the passenger one - so the seat can't be removed.

I'm going to also ask the PW factory if they have done any electrical things under there.

Again I appreciate your answer - I'm a real nooby about vans.

do you have a switch on the dash to disable the passenger airbag? or is there a pasenger presence system?

If there is a switch on the dash, then you should be able to remove the seat without a problem and just turn the airbag off
