Good afternoon,
I am looking to add a front receiver hitch to my GMC Savanna AWD van. It is a 2004 1500. I do not see any exact fits available on the market. I saw a video of a guy putting a Reese 37096 on a 2005 express, but the frame looked different than mine. I can do some light fabricating, but would like to go as proper as possible and wondered if I might be able to learn from anyone whom had been down this road. This hitch will just be for a bicycle rack. I tried to search and see if any threads already existed, and had little luck finding anything relevant. Thanks in advance!

Oh, and this is my beloved Van, Hank the Tank.

 

The direct fit for an Express/Savana I think goes up to '03. There are some pictures of the CURT 31016 on a later model van in the Amazon review. They said they needed to drill some holes but it fit ok otherwise.
