Also interested in this, did some searching and didn't find any. Anyone replace the muffler with a performance one? Was it worth it? Does it sound good?? I have a 2500 with the V8 and would like to hear it rumble...

 

i have a 2002 express with the 350 vortec. I thought the muffler was getting bad so i had a magnaflow one put on. Better sound, deeper rumble and felt a bit more power....but wow what a nasty drone it had at a certain rpm. So bad i couldn't keep it like that. I had to go back and have a resonator put on behind the muffler.
Much better now...no drone, and still a good sound. But cost me 160 bucks more.....
No difference in fuel economy...at least not an appreciable one.
