Default Fuel system in 2002 with 5.7

Hello, My express van has aproblem with the fuel delivery. A mechanic looked at it and said i need what he called the octypus that distributes fuel. I need to know what this part is really called and the part number if possible. Any info will help. Thanks

Is it a 2500 or a 3500? What year?

He means the CSFI 'spider' injection unit.

BUT....
Do yourself a BIG favour and get the Multec 'mini' injector spider. It's an OEM upgrade and is available form your dealer.
If your mechanic doesn't agree to put it in...take your van somewhere else.
It'll make for a MUCH smoother idle and won't leak or block up like the original poppet's do.

Here's where that 'spider resides.
