Default fuel tank swap

hello to all,

1999 G3500 454 v8 cutaway lost fuel tank to thieves. This tank no longer available. Have a complete tank assembly from 2009 G3500 6.0 v8 cutaway. Anyone done one? Concerned about fuel pump pressure and fuel return as the 99 returns fuel to the tank and the 09 return line goes thru the evap canister assembly. Thinking I might be able to add a return fuel fitting to the 09 pump module. Thoughts anyone 🤔?

keep the evap line intact as that is needed to vent the tank during pump operation and refueling. if easier, the return can go elsewhere...doesn't need to be at the sending unit/module...as long as its secure.

try titan fuel tanks...they make aftermarket extended size tanks.

Thanks for your reply. Are the pump pressures compatible? Just making sure.

the system that controls the pressures are different. the old system runs the pump continuously and controls pressure by sending it back to the tank. the new system cycles the pump on and off by pwm control to a set pressure. i do not know the max flow output of the new system. the only way to tell is to run the system and measure volume/minute....or hook it up and see if the old system pressure regulator controls it
