g20 van... What is this relay? Where to get new one?
Hi guy - I've been chasing a short to the tail lights fuse and I believe this relay to be the culprit. It came from under the dash, affixed to the drivers side wall on a 1991 Chevy g20 (v6).
Can anyone identify what it is and maybe how to find a suitable replacement? Coming up empty handed in google searches.
there's two markings on it, the number 14056553, stamped into the metal and an inked on stamp that reads "3C".
Thanks
Looks like a single pole double throw relay. Any SPDT relay with 15 amp contacts and 12 vdc coil could be modified to work.
Looks like the same basic relay with various mounting brackets was used across the GM product line in this time period. Most people pull them from salvage yard since they're no longer available.
