Default Gutting your "cats"

Has anyone had success gutting the cats on the Express 3500 ? My vehicle is exempt from inspection, so i figure it will be worth a try !

Your check engine light will probably come on.

no probably, it will come on
what are you trying to fix or achieve? Its won't increase performance. the only reason to do this is broken/melted/clogged cats can cause an exhaust restriction. if the engine is running properly; removing the cat is a waste of time.
