Has anyone had success gutting the cats on the Express 3500 ? My vehicle is exempt from inspection, so i figure it will be worth a try !

no probably, it will come on
what are you trying to fix or achieve? Its won't increase performance. the only reason to do this is broken/melted/clogged cats can cause an exhaust restriction. if the engine is running properly; removing the cat is a waste of time.
