I have a 1988 Chevrolet G20 Chevy Van with a 305 with TBI, A/C and power steering. It has the alternator on the top on the driver's side as well as an A.I.R. pump on the lower passenger's side.In February, the head gaskets blew. So, I replaced them.Of course, that led to a whole rabbit hole of issues...
But, all those are now resolved. My current problem is that I should have taken pictures of where each bracket and support went as I was taking it apart. But, I didn't.So, now I am stuck trying to figure out/remember where each one goes.I remember vaguely where some of them went. But, some isn't really good enough (obviously).I am hoping that someone on here has and is willing to upload some pictures of their stock setup that matches mine, so that I can get my engine the rest of the way assembled and back on the road. Thanks in advance!
Top of front of engine. Under front driver's side of engine. Under front passenger's side of engine. As straight on a picture as I could get of the top of the passenger's side of the engine, right below the A/C compressor. The top of the "horseshoe" bracket, taken from inside the cab. The as-yet "homeless" brackets and supports.
Hey, my dad and I are in the middle of an engine swap on the same van. We're stuck in where the final support goes. In your picture of brackets/supports we're stuck on the top, rod- shaped support? Do you know where that goes?? Thanks
