Slider doors have a larger opening. You can also open it in tight spaces.

sad day had plans however I hate distributors more than I liked the van. I recommend the express.
it's official my 02 express 1500 is gone.
the buyer drove another 3 hour trip one way, rented a F250 and a flatbed which could be concidered overloaded by jonny law.
I told him the width was 79" is this true or false?
look at the tires the both the outsides are on the trailers rail.
they actuely squeezed her on both side side floorboard step was pressed a good 1" it will probable be ok.
so onward for my new express hi top 2008 or newer like will be able to get the 6.0 engine I like in a 08 model?
I sold the van to a older gentleman he was very enthusiastic and apparently has lots of other projects he said he wanted to say in touch w/ me I'll give him incruement to start a thread here w/ other van Guys like us.
that would be cool to see if this man refurb my old van. I'd rather see other people refurb and enjoy, rather than fix up and resell a decent full sized van.

2014 was the last AWD.
Adding a front axle to a 2WD frame requires some serious engineering and fabrication. If you need to ask, then it's probably out of your reach.

this AWD is probably not a necessity but would be whorth upgrading right rig.

No 2500's were made with AWD.
The AWD and RWD frames are different. That's why conversions cost $12k

OK sounds like cutting and altering the frame and welding sounds major? I could be down for grinding and clearancing smaller stuff.
I think I don't fully understand AWD is like automatic the front are always being powered yet at a lower % untill needed like a LSD.
4 wheel drive also has a transfer case but has a solid rear end and it's own set of gears to shift. I would be satisfised w/ regular rear 2 wheel drive for majority of driving but w/ option to shift to low 4WD.
edit: this 010 YF7 has alot of miles could I order a new long block and trans from GM parts direct I would like a 6 litre w/ 8speed trans would this be a direct boltin replacement?

LOL. No, it's not just frame modification.
Yes AWD is full time. 2/3 torque to rear, 1/3 to front, but when traction is lost it can bias up to 100% to whatever axle needs it. Single speed though. It has the same rear end as a 4WD.
Engine and transmission swap? No, that's not bolt-in. All these ideas sound like you want to spend more time working on it than driving it.
