Getting 15mph with mine most of the time in the wind, pulling big mower and trailer 12.5mph at 70mph. highest mph in winter time with cold air was 18mph.

I am guessing you have a pre 2017 noting your join date. Are you getting a lot of wallowing on the highway? It almost sounds like the weak shocks are on the 2017's.

 

If you are talking to me 2016 Chevy Express 3500 15 passenger LT 3 dr. No problems with it. Is yours a CITY EXPRESS ? Payload Cap is only a little over 2800 lbs.

I have the full size Express 2500 cargo, about 3300 lb payload, 8600 lb GVWR, about 14,000lb GCWR( inc trailer).

 

This has been bugging me after thinking about this thread for a while. What exactly do you mean by "wallowing"?

 

A mushy, softly bouncing up and down after hitting bumps.....like the shocks are worn out. It's not the jarring bounce when hitting bumps with a stiff suspension, but like an old land barge... think 23 foot 1973 Buick or Cadillac.

 

There's a pleasant flashback. I had a '76 Le Sabre 2 dr. Slip and slide with Powerglide. That thing would roll.

 

Then you know the feeling. Never drove something like that regularly...either vans or compacts.

 

That was a bit different. It was made to float like a cloud. Comfy ride was expected.

I think your issue is bad shocks. Which is weird seeing as yours is a year newer than mine. I'd be interested in knowing if yours and mine had the same stock shocks. I think I'm off to a GM parts site to find out.

 

Same springs, same shocks.
