Default Peeling Paint Problems - a solution!

This thread has been going for several years for good reason. All you need to do is drive around any city for 15 minutes and you'll see peeling white vans. We feel your pain! Econo Auto Painting spoke to lots of you and learned you were mostly small business owners who didn't want to spend thousands on your older work van. We felt your pain and decided to put together a super affordable package for white van owners (we also paint other colors!). We don't want to hijack the thread with a commercial so check out the peeling white van package here and then see if we have a location near you. We promise to get you back on the road fast too!

We embraced the defect in the Primer/Paint with a parody Facebook page embracing the obvious defect from GM. It's not any kind of answer but a laugh.

Heads up.... Toyota just lost a class action lawsuit for rusting frames for inadequate coating. Affects trucks dating back to 2005 ...

Perhaps this is a good time to pursue a class action against General Motors..

I have a 2003 Roadtrek chevrolet van 3500 the whole hood peeled off going down on I-95 . It also peeled the paint off of the fenders as well, and around the windows and doors. No response from Chevrolet as always.

I see a bunch of vans driving around with the same kind of issue...

Also read up on the paint problems from before(90's) with the automotive safety board...link

Anybody else have this going on???

pics?

frustrating...

So is the paint still a problem in 2019 with a new van?

Too early to tell. It doesn't happen until after the warranty expires.

I should have been more specific say from 2013. All the posts I saw were for older vans like in the earlier 2000s
