It's pretty basic. Just clip a ground to one prong and touch the the others with 12v and see what happens. You should get a high and low depending on which prong you power up. You're not going to hurt it by getting it wrong. If you get a low beam with either prong switch the ground and you should get the low and high when you switch the 12v back and forth.

You could also unplug one headlight on the van from under the hood and plug the LED light into the harness and test it that way too. Just turn the headlights on and see what happens. Looks like you have plenty of slack in the cord to plug it in and set it down under the hood.

If you want to get fancy you could test the vans plug for ground and power with the lights off, low and high. Recreate that with a jumpbox or leads from the battery to see if the LED does the same.

ahhh I see, Thanks derrick, I'll try the safe idea and see if they work by plugging them into the vehicle. any idea on a way to sell em? Is there a good marketplace on this forum? do you have to have a lot credibility in order to use it? That is of course if they do work. I just don't have room for more spare parts lol.

I haven't tried the classifieds here but the traffic is so low I wouldn't expect much. Your best bet is probably Facebook Marketplace. Take pictures of the lights, the plug, closeup pic of any sticker or cast markings and one of a headlight plugged in and shining.

Those sealed beam style headlights fit a lot of different older vehicles. Not just our vans or even GM vehicles but other makes as well. They would be an upgrade to a lot of different vehicles. I would list them as " 5"x7" or 7"x6" " lights. The numbers are interchangeable depending on manufacturer so use them both. That's what most people will search for if they're looking for them rather than a specific vehicle.
