How do I replace my ignition switch
I have a 2005 Express AWD 1500 and I have no change the ignition switch.
is the Passlock part of this switch?
And I know there's a specific process to "reset" the Passlock (key-on for 10 minutes 3 times), is that the same process when installing a "new" switch?
Thank you

Replacing the lock cylinder requires Passlock relearn. Replacing the switch does not.
Replacing the switch does require removing the cylinder, but since you're not replacing it then probably not.
But it's the same relearn anyway.
The Passlock and key buzzer modules are a separate module that needs to be disconnected.
Make sure you realign the gears between the ignition switch and lock cylinder or else it will drain your battery.
What's the problem with the van?

I already replaced the cylinder and didn't have to go through any relearn process. The problem started a few months ago. If I started it with the key, the ABS light would come on and the climate controls wouldn't work. If I started it with the remote start the ABS light wouldn't be on and the climate controls would work, until I step on the brake then ABS light comes on and climate controls cut off..
I thought it might be the lock cylinder because I had too much crap hanging off it so I changed it and still had the same issues. Then I thought it might have something to do with the remote start. But I took it to a place called 12volt Specialist" and he probed around with a test light and said one side of the switch was dead.He put a jump wire across and everything works as it should

I've been getting conflicting information about the Passlock some say it's incorporated into the CYLINDER and some say it's in the SWITCH.which is it?I replaced the cylinder and didn't have to go through any relearn process.
